Today's post is brought to you by the letter 'F': Fantasy, Fimo and Filch!
1) Remember ages ago when I promised you photos of my Merlin-ish display once it was up on the wall? Slash Dragon and all? Well, I've finally uploaded them! I took these on the day I put it up, right now it is covered with children's drawings and it looks awesomely cute...but you'll have to imagine that part (I asked them to draw pictures of themselves as heroes and they're lined up along the road, depending on how many books they've read over the summer holidays)! Don't be disappointed though, it's really only a fantasy display and I had to work within the guidelines of what my boss wanted! And the Slash Dragon had to be red to match the stationary we'd got for the promotion...but we can pretend, right?
Also: The Merlin and Arthur from my display will be free to a good home after September, so if you'd like them let me know in a comment and I'll see what I can do! If more than one person wants them I shall choose at random :)
My boss put the dragon up against my knowledge whilst I was cutting something out and she messed his wing up ;__;, so let's just pretend his wing isn't actually on the wrong side of his body, ok? OK :D!

2) I've almost finished my costumes for the con, thank goodness! I tell you, I am all out of creativity right now! Mum helped me loads whilst I was at work today by sewing up some seams I'd tacked together. Just a zip to put in and the neckline to finish (two days to go!!!). I made Sheeta's levistone pendant (from Laputa: Castle in the Sky) out of fimo the other day, here it is before I painted it. I was pretty pleased with it, it was so hard to make! I realise the stem of the crest is a little long, but hey, I'm sure no one will notice unless I have the reference picture stapled to my forehead!
It's painted now, but it's dark outside and the flash is reflecting really badly on the enamel, so I'll try to take a photo of it tomorrow.
3) Seriously, I think that film!Filch might be one of my favourite things in the known universe...
