Poor old Mark Webber, he's my favourite racing driver and the eternal underdog...
For example, on Sunday in the Japanese Grand Prix he was in second place, which is just unbelievable for him! I was so happy, I totally thought he was going to get a podium place (it would only be the third of his entire career) but then, alas! Sebastian Vettel smashed into the back of him! What makes things worse is that they were following the safety car, no one should've been racing, or over-taking or anything at all. What makes things even worse than that is that Webber was suffering from food poisoning and had actually been sick in his helmet and carried on! This makes me so sad ;__;. He so brave! Yay Mark! (but boo for being so cross at Vettel in post-race interviews, because he's only 20 and was crying his eyes out when they dragged his car into the pits. Bad Mark!)
And just for the record (I've actually avoided saying this so far in my journal...because even mentioning it makes me angry)...
I loathe Lewis Hamilton.
...just seeing his smug face makes me want to throw something at the TV and watch it smash. Honestly, he is the spawn of the devil. Why can the world not see this?! He does, in fact, make me want to vomit in my non-existant helmet.
I saw
Night Watch with Jim and
Marcus J last night - it was so amazing! It's gone straight into my Top 20 films I think! Very Jeunet et Caro! I am so, so excited that the second film in the trilogy is out this week! What super timing (unless
Marcus J planned this so he wouldn't have to go to the cinema alone! Actually, having said this, I can't find a cinema that's showing it. Boo).
I also re-watched
The Fisher King a few nights ago, God that's a super movie. I think everyone needs a dose of Robin Williams schmultz once in a while...especially if it's diluted by Terry Gilliam. It really scared/upset me this time around for some reason, I think it's because I understood the metaphors from the very start. I'll say no more in case you haven't seen it - but see it!
Hmm, bedtime now (I only got in from work at 7.30pm, I'm back there at 8.45am!)
