You are completely right. Nothing happened AT ALL. A Dude died. The best dude in the episode because he didn't spout historical bullshit. He refused to talk. Good on him.

Yeah, it seems so odd that they'd split the tourney into two episodes. WTF? Surely it would have made more sense to see the Mountain killing Ser Hugh and then later on see him about to kill Loras in the final round? I don't know.

That's totally it. It lost all meaning, all power, all emotion, all impact. And bloody Littlefinger of all people? It's like a deliberate kick in the teeth! Not that I'm touchy on the subject or anything. ;-)

Oh noes. Sorry Samwell! I must admit I wasn't keen on him to start with, I felt like he didn't deserve to be in the story, but I think most of the hate came from my unreasonable feeling that he'd OMG STOLEN THEON'S POV CHAPTERS IN ASOS! XD XD XD I do love that stupid douchebag more than he deserves.
