Doctor Who Competition! Sort of!

Apr 29, 2010 00:20

OK, so I meant to post this ages ago, but I forgot D:

Basically, on my way into the supermarket last week I jokingly remarked that I was sure they'd have some kind of Jammie Dodger display, following Victory of the Daleks. And that there was a very high probability that every child in the country had taken a Jammie Dodger to school in their ( Read more... )

Well, i am commenting to say that your competition is adorable! But i needn't be in it, because i don't need any Jammie Dodgers, because you sent me Jelly Babies which are as vastly superior as Four is to Eleven! Lies, lies, i haven't even seen Eleven yet. But the Jelly Babies fascinate me! They smell so strongly, i haven't even had the nerve to open the package and try them yet! Soon, i swear. slightlytookish is right, though, we really haven't got anything you haven't got! That's the trouble with America. We force our exports on everyone. Like that Kinks song about Waikiki.

Are those "Dr. Graham's Honey Biskets"? Haha, what a fantastic name.

I just looked them up online as I hadn't heard of them before and saw this:

[they were] conceived of as a health food as part of the Graham Diet, a regimen to suppress what he considered unhealthy carnal urges, the source of many maladies according to Graham."source.

Wow!

Do you get Teddy Grahams? They're just like graham crackers, but portable! They would totally survive a trip over the ocean, i bet. Also, did you know that if you google gra'am crackers, this thread is the fifth thing to come up? Seriously! Wow!

No, I don't think we do get Teddy Grahams! They sound amazing! Haha, it's awesome that this thread is so high up on google! My friend marcusjjordan once wrote a rather scathing review of a b-movie and his blog was so high up the google chain that the director actually visited his blog to comment! D:

I will, i will! It just needs the perfect moment! Like when i'm watching some Tom Baker Doctor Who and he pulls out a paper wrapper and sticks it in some military nut's face and says 'JELLY BABY?' (i want to put that in subscript because i think Tom Baker's words should always be in subscript, so you really get the full effect, but i couldn't be bothered to figure out how) and then i will think 'OH MY GOD I WANT A JELLY BABY RIGHT NOW SO I CAN BE LIKE THE DOCTOR!' and then i will remember that because of o_deanna, my dream has come true, and i will dash to my kitchen and tear open the bag of Jelly Babies and bite off their little heads and think of you. It is my destiny. True.

I've just said "Jelly Babies" aloud, trying to distance the words from what I already know about the sweets...and wow! They sound creepy! Haha! Jelly Babies! They're such a part of our culture that I don't event think about the connotations of the words!

We never did that experiment as far as I know and I think I would remember something as exciting as that! I want to try it now! XD

You really are mean! I always bite the heads off first so they won't suffer XD. True.

Wow, that experiment was pretty lethal! When she explained the process I remember that we did do something similar, to show how much energy certain food contained, but it certainly wasn't as impressive as that!

I was awful at all the sciences. I think I would be much better these days and show a lot more interest! I would pretend that Chemistry was Potions and would imagine that I was learning Physics to impress Daniel Faraday. Ahh, Fandom, you make everything more fun!
