Last night, Brodie, Jessica, Eric and I went to see "the Snow Walker", at the Odeon. It was a last-minute spontaneous thing (I was actually kinda planning on seeing the "oak tree" instead of a film), but I thoroughly enjoyed this Canadiana flick. I love film fests. They celebrate some of the "greats" that often are not recognized.
It was kinda neat too because the star, Barry Pepper, answered some questions and talked a bit about film making and getting into the film industry. I've always liked him as an actor, but never had any idea what his name was, or that he is from Vancouver Island. Anyways, despite all of the anger, hot-headed characters that he's played, he is this super gentle, soft-spoken, chilled-out dude. I was super impressed.
Oh, and the movie...if you like Canadian flicks and the beauty of the arctic, you definitely have to see it!
