So... Wednesday morning I woke up will a slight scratchy throat. I took my multi-vitamin, popped a couple echinacea, and drank a glass of OJ. By mid-day I could feel myself getting worse... muscle aches, chills, headache, hot then cold, overall shitty. By the time the ASCE meeting was over with (6pm) I thought I was gonna pass out... not to mention I felt like there was a golf ball stuck in my throat. Got home. Took my temp. 101. Great! This is the last freakin thing I need right now. Yesterday, after my Dynamics class I went to the Student Health Services on campus. I will have to say, I have never received such great medical service ever, not to mention the price was unbeatable (at least I’m getting use of those health fees I pay every semester). Everyone was supper friendly and I was in and out of there in no time. I tested negative for Strep, so it appears I have some sort of bacterial infection. Doc gave me some amoxicillin and a prescription for Tylenol w/ codeine. I called into work then went home and slept.
This morning I wake up and have fever of 101 again and my throat felt even worse. I intentionally woke up early to take my medicine to help bring down my fever by the time I needed to be at school. Didn't work. I felt sooo freakin weak. There was no way I was prepared to go sit in class for hours and take a couple quizzes. Shoot walking across the apartment made me dizzy. I email my professors and went back to sleep.
My diet now consists of soup for sustainability, yogurt to prevent yeast infections, and hot tea to sooth the throat. How boring.
At some point this weekend I HAVE to do some serious studying. At the moment focusing is an issue, but I'm gonna have to work through it.
Blah! I hate being sick!
