A random tid-bit for those who are curious....
Streets (according to the City of Tampa) should be named as followed:
Direction | Long | Short*
North and south | Streets | Places
East and west | Avenues | Courts
Diagonal | Roads | Ways
Curving | Drives | Lanes or circles
*Less than 1,000 feet
