When I have my hair in a ponytail for more than ten minutes, it makes my head hurt. But, when I have my hair down, it makes my neck all itchy and I feel gross. It becomes a constant battle between me and my hair. The only solution I can think of besides getting it cut is a headband. But all of the headbands that I have are leftovers from when I was ten. So, I am going to get an overpriced haircut at a fooffy salon on Friday. Sigh.
Okay. So, at work do you have at a certain stall in the bathroom that you always use? I do. And, apparently not many other women use it because when I go in around 10:30 or 11 every morning, the seat is still up from the night before when it was cleaned. I use the same stall because I figure that I'll get less buttgerms that way. I mean, if you sit on seat 1 in the morning, you may get the germs from 3 other people. If you sit on seat 2 in the afternoon, you'll get germs from another 6 people. But, if you sit on seat 1 in the afternoon, you'll have already gotten some of the germs. Am I the only one who thinks like this? I suspect that other people probably use the same stall too... but they probably don't think about it as much as I do.
I really hate driving between 7 and 8pm. Usually when I'm driving, I listen to NPR. If there is something uninteresting on NPR, I put on WXPN. If there isn't anything great on xpn, I usually go back to NPR to judge just how uninteresting their content is... but between 7 and 8pm NPR plays Fresh Air. And, I've developed an extreme loathing for Terry Gross. She says "um" and "uh" way too much. Just say you're fucking question, Terry!!! I mean, every once in awhile she has someone interesting on and I try to ignore her faux-casual manner and just listen to the guest, but I usually get too frustrated with her. And, xpn has kids corner on between 7 and 8. Now, sometimes I'm in the mood for Trout Fishing in America... but those moods are rare. So, I have nothing to listen to and am forced to try to find something bearable on regular commercial radio. I inevitably realize that that's impossible, so I look for a cd to listen to. But since I know that listening to a cd is my only audio option besides silence, it just so happens that I don't want to listen to any cd in my collection. By the time 8pm comes around, and The World comes on NPR, my errands are done, or I've gotten to my destination, and I don't need to be in the car anymore. So, I need to either plan my driving around this horrible 7-8pm time slot, or I need to convince NPR or XPN to change their programming because I am really starting to dread 7 o'clock.
Number of time I used the word 'so' in this blog: 7
