[This is one of my older poems but one of my better ones I think.]
You hypnotized me with your eyes
So piercing blue, they cut into my soul
Why can't they also see and realize
It is my love you have taken, my heart you stole?
For a moment I almost had you
It seemed that our hearts had collided
I actually believed that my dreams had come true
But somehow your feelings for me then subsided
Everyone said we were meant to be
That we were such a perfect match
But this picture you just could not see,
Your heart I could not catch
Now I pray that another will come along
So that my heart may sing a new love song.
