Winter is probably over and so is my hibernation. Went to Karekare Beach last Sunday on an Ent. Soc. trip (Auckland branch), not the best of days weather wise, but nice to get out of town and see the signs of spring! It was a typical wild west coast day. Even better because I am stuck the National Shell Show (at Pakuranga, east Auckland) all next weekend, my punishment for being on the committee!
Even a few insects like this beauty!
A longhorn - Coptoma sulcatum (until last year it was called Navomorpha sulcata). Body 10mm long.
