Got to hang out with high school friend Nicki and her fiancee Julian. We ate brunch at the always-fantastic Mission Cafe. Afterwards we sat around and talked about music, and Julian played some of his electronic compositions for me. I gleaned a lot about electronic music composition and performance from him. Basically, it's all about Csound and pd. Sweet. I've got the pd side down pretty well, now I gotta work through the Csound book again and actually learn it.
1. Work through Csound book, chapter by chapter. Learn and make stuff.
2. Start experimenting with creating Csound instruments. (Go filters and granular synth!)
3. Create a nice pd interface to load and play Csound instruments, control key, tempo, amplitude, all that good stuff.
