Hi, I'm going to be visiting Auckland and Wellington and I'm looking for gothy stores to visit. Can anyone give me any recommendations or point me to an existing resource?

Wellington - go to Cuba street. A lot of clothing stores, music and books.

Wellington is your better option; Up here in Auckland is a tad.. unfortunate when it comes to things like 'culture'.

Having said that, Karangahape Road (mostly referred to as K road) is the default 'weird stuff' stores place in Auckland; I've found some spectacular stuff up there occasionally. Plenty of vintage and secondhand clothes shops, which if you look through all of you'll generally find something interesting. Eventually.

For Lip Service and other off the rack goth you can check out Smoove in Auckland, it's in a little arcade thing called Little High St that is between High St and Queen St. There are small asian import stores in strange little Queen St arcades that do lots of chinese made frilly lolita etc stuff, it's worth having a lazy wander up Queen St (might I also recommend an iPod or similar device to make walking around Auckland city more enjoyable?).

that sounds interesting... are the arcades along the entirety of queen st., or just part? if just part, along which cross streets do they start and end?
