I got a letter today, informing me that I have been selected to be on the National Dean's List.
According to this letter, "Less than 1% of our nation's college students meet the qualifications for this award. We commend you for your exemplary accomplishments!"
I'll be published in some big ass book with a whole lot of other smartasses and overachievers, and will qualify for some prestigious $1000 grant for next school year, for all the good that would do me.
Then I look a little further down the letter, and notice the deadline for returning the form.

Way to go, US Postal Service. I'm going to blame Evergreen for this too, because I can. Their administration is the worst example of a failed bureaucracy.
Oh well. Can't miss what you never really had.
