I found a place! I'm moving to Olympia's west side neighborhood - home of a large population of anarchists, bike punks, hippies, bohemians, and other weird folk.

Rent is about $90 more, but I'll be closer to town and hopefully working (almost) full time. Also, the utilities are cheaper. The house is a couple of blocks away from the co-op, and my housemates seem pretty cool. I have a date to go contra dancing with one of them. The house is really nice, already furnished. My room is small, but since I only have a bed, clothes, and about a hundred billion books, I should be able to make it work. There's a big backyard, with a garden, and a really cute cat. And a grain grinder in the kitchen, which is cool even though I don't really know how (or when) I'd use it.

Why is House and Wilson in tuxedoes my only happy-ish icon? The rest of them are all kind of angsty, angry, or sad. Except for the gay hobbits one, but that mirrors my own current identity crisis a little too closely. This should be remedied. Both the crisis and the lack of happy icons.

olympia is weird
