Hmm. Sounds like a fun change! For me, I think when I am more "feminine" I'm not really trying to conform, but I guess some may feel that way. I rarely have a really butch haircut, but in some ways I'm a bit butch. I never wax my femmestache, and I have a lot of hairs on my neck that I sometimes pluck and sometimes don't. I'm pretty self-conscious about that, but it's time consuming. I go long periods without shaving or wearing a bra. I don't wear makeup, though I occasionally like wearing eyeliner and lipstick. But it was kind of funny, when my friend Kat came down she kept saying I looked like such a dyke. And I'm like "I do?" *looks down* I tend to dress in business suit-type wear, you know, nice trousers, button-down, blazer. Sometimes I do wear a tie but not all the time. My clothes are clearly fitted for a woman, so it's less crossdressing and more just... well I don't know what. I guess I'm an Executive Dyke. Ha. Who knows. But my point is, yeah. Butch and femme and dyke and straightgirl and whatever else come in all flavours. Wear what makes you comfortable and doesn't make you feel "off" in public. Cater to the occasion. Be proud.
