-3 mugs, empty except for a dried up tea bag in each.
-2 glasses half full of water
-1 bowl
-1 plate, full of green bean stems
-1 leather cuff, that I made myself
-1 black moleskin journal
-1 sign that says "Let Them Eat Cake!!" and "Check out the Huge Spider!"
-2 paintings of mine that I haven't bothered to put up yet
-31 pictures of my roadtrip this summer, in an envelope
-1 copy of Reviving Ophelia
-1 white bowl type thing, purpose unknown
-Assorted pens, papers, markers, platic spoons, and wrappers.
Yes, I know, I'm a slob.
I started work today at the nursery. 8 hours. It kicked my ass. I need about half an hour of yoga before bed, or I'm not sure I'll be able to move tomorrow. Which would be bad, because I've got another 8 hour shift.
Still, I have to say that I love this job. They didn't mind that I was twenty minutes late today (I miscalaculated how long it would take to walk there...), and I got to spend two hours wandering around a wetlands, collecting seeds. I think I lucked out on this one.
So I've been dropping hints about this new play that I'm writing, and I thought I might as well just tell you all what I'm planning. The story is going about two young women (teenagers) who are both placed into a mental hospital unit for youth. One day, one of them asks the other one to be her girlfriend. So they start cultivating this relationship. However, one of the biggest, most enforced rules of the hospital is that no contact is allowed between the patients. So these two women, are in love, on a mental ward for teenagers where they're not allowed to touch or be touched by one another.
What do you all think? Will I win a Tony next year?
