I'm sick of Boulder.

My friends ditched me on my birthday. (except for Ella, who is awesome for reasons I'll write about later.)

The nights saving graces:
-friendly bartenders
-my sister and cousin
-an old homebum named LaVerne, who despite being incredibly drunk, recited beautiful poetry to me that actually moved me to tears

Next day we went to Aspen to hang with vivirporvivir. It was pretty. When I'm not tired and cranky, I'll write more about the strange experience of bar hopping in a town saturated by absurd luxury.

Now I'm in Nebraska. We're watching Anaconda. Nobody's been eaten yet. I wish they'd all hurry up and die. Tomorrow will be spent driving to (hopefully) Gary, Indiana. I'm going to have all of four or five days to spend in Vermont.

If I could swing it financially, I'd be seriously tempted to stay in Vermont for the rest of the summer, and come back a few days before Burning Man. I miss it like hell, and all the drama surrounding my life in Boulder is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
