ANOTHER EMAIL FROM THE INSANE ROOMMATE!!
So, because we share the same space, it is impossible to avoid the Insane Corporate Roommate forever. After work, I ran into him, and he decided to use me as the newest receptacle for his bullshit, this time about the chaotic state of the house. I basically got a talking down to, like I was back at my highschool and the dean was criticizing my class for not taking care of the kitchen, our assigned chore.
Booooooooooooooooring. I basically just counted the minutes and said nothing until he finally talked himself out.
I thought it ended there. I thought it was over. But this morning, Rachael and I received THIS...
I was wrong.

"Nicole (and Rachel),
Again, your patience tonight was admirable. Your attitude was also mature and positive. Your execution and your will are all that stands in the way of your honor. I hope you will find the strength to make the effort and follow through on your verbalized intentions.
Just to reiterate a bit of what I conveyed earlier today, my home environment is very important to me, as is a strong sense of teamwork from the people with whom I share a common space. That said, the way this home was represented to me was very different than the way it is. Mess creates disharmony in my simple life, and I see it as fundamental laziness. I have the read a lot of Ayn Rand, and I still feel very subjectively about this matter. I realize you and Rachel and Etai are cool with the mess, but at some point, your actions undermine my efforts, and thats not cool. The mess has impeded on my lifestyle to the point where I cannot comfortably invite guests for dinner because of the cleaning required just to prepare a meal.
Again, I am not passing judgement on you or anyone else for that matter. You are entitled to live the way you choose. However, I feel you and Rachel grossly misrepresented the place. I am used to having a very social home environment, one where I can host regular dinners, etc. I realize that its only a month, and that is why I have been as patient thus far, but things have gotten steadily worse, and I have actively been seeking other housing solutions. I hope you understand that this sublease, becuase of the impact it is having on my home life, is more of a sentence than it is a pleasure. I have put an ad out to find a replacement should I move out before I return from NY which is a possibility. Either way, whether its tomorrow or the end of the month, my attitude will remain the same...to make each day count and go the extra mile before I move on. That is just the way I am. And I don't anticipate there will be any drama or hard feelings directed at anyone.
Seeya,
Todd"
My roommate Rachael has posted her own fascinating study correlating our roommate's stupid misuse of the English language, and Emilio Estevez's crappy cliche dialogue in The Mighty Ducks at her lj,
