I wonder what it is about Boulder and Naropa that enables me to have meaningful conversations with near-strangers. Honestly, it's just weird. In Vermont, I was always assuming this role of the weirdquiet girl, who mostly just listened to conversations. If asked why, I'd reply that I felt uncomfortable in engaging in those kind of conversations with people I didn't know very well.
Here, it's different. Earlier today I was talking about the sexual politics of the 17th century witch craze, which lead into a discussion of sexual politics in general and abortion in particular.
Which is kind of a touchy subject with me. But I didn't mind engaging in a discussion about it, despite its uncomfortably personal connection to my own experiences.
What the hell?
