Pregnancy, Postpartum, Infant career stuff

Before anyone reads the title and misunderstands, I am not pregnant and I am not gonna have any babies, ever. :p

This is a brainstorm. If anyone on my friends list (or not on my friends list, for that matter) has suggestions, please do comment! Or if you have a friend who might have useful advice, please do direct them my way, I'd love that!

I've been moving towards specializing (as much as we're allowed to specialize as RMTs) in pregnancy, postpartum and infant massage stuff *. I know just doing massage has its limitations and I'm trying to brainstorm possible directions I could take my career to expand on the types of services I can offer. This is meant to be a huge list of possibilities, not necessarily all ones I'd want to pursue for sure.

Current:

Pregnancy massage
Postpartum massage
Infant massage (instruction and soon I'll offer short treatments myself)

I'm also certified in Standard First Aid and CPR C, which means I also have infant CPR.

Possible future directions:

St. John Ambulance First Aid/CPR Instructor (I could maybe specialize in offering infant CPR/First Aid classes to new parents)
Can-Fit-Pro Pre/Post Natal Fitness Certification
Labour Support Provider
Hypnobirth instructor
Childbirth educator (this might be tricky to get into, as I'm not an RN, OT or PT)
Lactation Consultant (another one that I probably would have difficulty getting into, as they usually want RNs)

Frig, maybe I should have gone into nursing. ;)

I'll keep editing this list and adding more as I think of stuff.

*To be totally clear, I am not excluding non-pregnant clients (and men, for that matter!) from my practice! I will always see at least some people who don't fit into that cohort, and will always be happy to do so. But strangely enough, even though I have zero desire to have children of my own, I really enjoy working with pregnant women and their families, so that's where I'm headed in my practice.
