Nine Predictions for the 7th Book

Oct 29, 2006 22:06

Good evening, folks!

I've been seeing people fearlessly post their predictions, theories and thoughts about book 7 around lately and I've decided, on a dull Sunday night, to risk being proved totally wrong, wrong, wrong too.

God knows, I don't remember ever being as astonished by a plot twist as I was when I realized Scabbers had been Peter ( Read more... )

Of all my harebrained theories, Padfoot as the guardian of the crossroads is my favorite as well. LOL *snuggles Sirius too*

Thanks for reading and commenting, I'm glad you found it interesting to read my predictions!

This was fascinating, Nyx, all the more because my brain simply doesn't work this way, and I have very few ideas about what's in store for us in the last book ( ... )

Hey Nyx!

I'm so glad you've written this down and posted it. That way when we all read about it next year in book 7, people can say "Wow, that Nyx nailed it back in '06!"

I agree with you that Harry can't possibly find and destroy all the horcruxes. JKR made quite the eleborate show of just the one (locket/potion, however you like it) and that was with DD at the reigns. Just as how Harry can't fight LV with magic, I think he'll find that he can't play catch-up with decades worth of soul-splitting and hiding.

I remember JKR referring to books 6 and 7 as really two parts of one longer story, and when I finished HBP, thinking "well I guess Sirius and the other Marauders are in the next part" because their absence was so glaring. I love your "guardian of the crossroads" theory, and it's so in character with Sirius-the-living, who would have done anything to help Harry; I can see him biding his time, putting off the afterlife to help Harry in his fight. Of course the whole hero-ventures-to-the-other-side thing is a classic theme in ( ... )

I'm all agog for Book 7 too, but in another way, it will be too bad when all the happy guessing and theorizing must come to an end ( ... )

i don't have any input, really, as i'm terrible with theories.. but i had to say.. i read every word of this. i never read every word of any theory post.

you know those 'out there' theories? people are crazy sometimes, i think they try too hard to come up with ideas. but you didn't, and i think that makes this the best set of predictions i've seen. or at least my favorite.

Why, thank you very much! I'm so glad you found my theories engaging enough to read all the way through, and it's really nice that you think this is your favorite theory post! Glad you dropped by to read and comment!

A lot of this fascinates me. You've combined a lot of theories I've already heard and made them your own. If you'd like to talk more about them feel free to email me at nuanceofgray@yahoo.com :-D
