Pepper Spray: Hurts even 2nd Hand
Drive By Updates!
So, lately my school has been getting into national news over a new tuition system. Today was the Board of Trustees meeting about it.
It did not go well.
I didn't get hit directly or even indirectly by any of the pepper spray. Unluckily, right after it happened I literally ran into someone who had been hit by it, and what I did get, I didn't have anything to wash it out with. Was actually fine for a few minutes, then suddenly everything started burning. Ack.
I'm on my school newspaper as the editor for the opinion section, so I was running around to get information (feet hurt, then writing it up, ended up staying a little late to help with it all, on the night when all of us had been hoping and expecting to go home early...well, actually, I left early compared to everyone else - I got to go home at 11:45pm. It's 1am right now and I just hung up on the phone with some of the other reporters still there.
This is also midterms week. I am sitting here not just for long-distance support but because tomorrow I've still got anthropology class, and I've got an English midterm in the evening which I am studying for now. (And then the anthropology midterm on Thursday and Psychology midterm on Friday...@_@). Oh, and, best part? My aunt and uncle, who I haven't seen in 3 years, and my cousin, who I haven't seen in 12 years, are all in town, and we are spending a lot of quality time together this week.
I have my kidfic challenge fic written but not typed up, but hopefully it will be by next week. Same goes for White Collar and Closet in my Heart, and a lot of stuff going on for my Merlin fic bang (and I feel like I owe two different people fics - if you are one of them, tell me!) That said, my plans are getting waylaid lately (cancelled a study date and a dentist appointment already to deal with all this shit) so I will be extremely unreliable for the rest of the week. That said, next week is spring break, so along with catching up on some serious school work and reading I'm behind on, I plan to catch up on all my fic.
