An Update
~The Video Card Story~
So...My computer is still not functioning. A long long time ago, I called ABS computers because my monitor was not getting a signal from my computer. Tech guy told me: pull out the card, if the computer beeps when you turn it on, that means the video card is the problem...If it does not beep when you turn it on, that means your motherboard is the problem. Luckily, I heard a beep when I pulled the video card out, dealing with a fried motherboard is no fun. I was also still under warrenty so I was able to ask ABS to send me a new video card. It came in about a week and a day. I tried to get the thing in the slot, and it did not fit. I decided to call them because I was able to place the video card back before, I was either really stupid, or they sent me the wrong one...and they sent me the wrong one. So...They were really nice and said they could send me the correct one right away...But, in order for them to send it to me, I had to send the other one back first...UNLESS I charged the video card I had to a credit card (which they would pay back as soon as they got the video card back). I gave them my card # and they sent me a new video card in 3 days. I tried that one...Still didn't fit. I am pissed at ABS because I had to charge the SECOND video card on credit in order for them to send me the correct card right away. The correct card should be here today...I hope. It turns out they send me a PCI slot card instead of some A.. something card. Punks. Making a mistake once, I understand. Twice.......No. Especially since my card died RIGHT before the release of WoW and RIGHT before finals week. When the correct card comes, I am tempted to call ABS and ask why I should continue to do business with them. I will need a new computer soon...and I have been recommending them to people and I do not feel like I can do that now. They were really good at getting me a new monitor and a new fan...I don't know what happened this time. I love their tech guys a lot...very helpful people. I think it's their customer service that needs some work. Either way...I will have three video cards soon and two charges on my credit card. At least they are paying for the shipping cost of returning the two extra cards.
