Yunho dribbled the basketball on the low lighted court, he looked up at the hinged basket and positioned himself to shoot.

"You'll miss."

Yunho smirked and calculated himself better when he took this shot, against the intruder's wishes, he makes it.

"Are you that happy to see me fail?" Yunho asks and faces Jaejoong who walks onto the court.

"Force of habit," Jaejoong shrugs. "I guess that part of me that wants to see you miss is a little hard to shake off."

Yunho just smiles. Jaejoong had once been one of the players of Yunho's rival team, they've known nothing more than to loathe yet respect one another.

Things had changed when Jaejoong enrolled into their university and was quickly scouted for their own team by their coach's demands. Their rivalry was a bit friendlier now.

He manages to catch the ball that's nearly thrown his way, Jaejoong gave a playful glare. "My reflexes might outdo yours, but don't test me."

"How about the first to make ten baskets?" Yunho suggests.

"How about ten minutes instead? I can't spend all my time with you." Yunho walks straight to him and looks him in the eye.

"Then you shouldn't have come here."

Jaejoong just shakes his head and they begin their little challenge.

On the court, it's nothing but professional. Outside however, as they spoke with one another at first to improve their game, then about their own lives, and gradually they'll speak about anything. They've become more comfortable with one another than either thought. Even when the season ends and the basketballs are put away, they're nearly inseparable.

Even if tonight Jaejoong can only spare ten minutes, he does it.

And when those ten minutes end, they both catch their breath as Jaejoong reaches for the ball and Yunho sits at the base of the basketball hoop.

"A tie…" Jaejoong murmurs. "Not sure whether I like that or not."

Yunho laughed. He looks up as Jaejoong shoots and makes it right in the basket. Yunho holds out his hands and catches it.

"It means neither loses."

"There you go again with your glass half full." Jaejoong says and his captain just smiles.

"Are you still bitter that I was made captain?"

"Me? No. I don't give direction well, I prefer taking orders."

"As if you listen."

"And that's the sort of stress you're prepared to deal with." Jaejoong smiles sweetly. Jaejoong scrunches his eyes as Yunho nudges his head with the ball.

"Listen." Yunho orders and nudges his head again, he can hear the other laughing under his breath. Jaejoong manages to push down the ball and hold it in his right hand.

"Don't worry, I may not always want to, but I listen to everything you tell me." Jaejoong places his left hand around Yunho's neck and brings him down a few inches, their foreheads pressed together. "And also, stop giving me that look."

"What look?" Yunho pretends to act oblivious, but his smile gives him away.

Jaejoong just grimaces, this man was going to give away everything. Jaejoong plays along and leans it a bit, Yunho closes his eyes and tries to hide his smile.

"That look that says you want to kiss me."

Yunho opens his eyes to see Jaejoong turning around and stepping out of the court with his basketball on hand.

"Hey! That's mine!"

"You'll get it back tomorrow!" Jaejoong shouts back with a wave of the hand.

And Yunho's grin displays itself unconsciously. Tomorrow sometimes didn't come soon enough, but it was another day to look forward to.
