The Ahn family, in its own right, were considered the nobility of the Kabuki world. An art of song and dance that manifested and developed graciously in South Korea. A male-dominated display that delved its roots from Japan.
Therefore the men of the families were looked on as prized, special. A son of the revered Ahn family was given the greatest favor and a stage name he adopted once he becomes of age. Like royalty, these sons were meant to marry within other families to continue to the name and legacy. Yet things change when the first and only son chooses to marry someone outside of these specified requirements.
The modern entertainment industry may have accepted his marriage with an outsider, glamorized it and further enticed by the mystery behind the elaborate theatre. One could only assume the story behind its traditional walls, a brief glimpse during its performances, but ignorant of the circumstances within.
The only sure thing he knew for sure, being raised within the Ahn household, was simply this.
Sanity is a loose thread that can be pulled at any time.
