-

"What's wrong?" Siwon asked.

Sungmin fidgeted with the napkin on his lap, scanning the bar. "Just making sure we're... alone." Siwon arched an eyebrow at the clearly full restaurant. Sungmin gave a thin smile but continued to look around. He checked his phone at the audible ding and glanced at the message.

"Don't worry, I'm not the person huddled in the corner hiding behind the screen."

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"I'm your waiter."

Sungmin widened his eyes as he looked up at Kibum's wide smile. Siwon arched an eyebrow at the exchange when Kibum slowly faced the man.

"Who's thi-"

"I'll have water." Sungmin quickly said. "And he'll have water too, both bottled." He then added before Siwon could interrupt.

"Anything for you." Kibum said, with a slight thinned smile, he went about his way.

"You know him?" Siwon asked, keenly interested.

Sungmin began folding napkins, scolding himself for not asking Siwon to change restaurants once he heard where they were going.

"You...can say that."

"We've been dating for four years, five months, two weeks and five days." Kibum interjected, his voice only loud enough for Sungmin to hear as he held two bottles in his hand. "But who's really counting?"

He finished his reply as he slammed both bottles on the table. "Anything else? Whatever it is you want, I shall grant." He said as he eyed Sungmin who bit his cheek.

"I request a different waiter."

"Unfortunately, I cannot fulfill that request."

Sungmin glanced at the huddle of employees in the corner, the restaurant not yet full either. "Those five look free."

"They don't work here." Kibum said without looking back.

"They have your uniform."

"...They're impostors."

Sungmin sighed exasperatedly. "Fine then, we'll go to a different restaurant, shall we?" He smiled at Siwon who almost stood up.

Kibum abruptly grabbed Sungmin's hand and pulled him upright, smiling politely at Siwon. "Excuse us, we have to discuss your order in detail."

"In private?" Siwon asked doubtfully.

"You'd be surprised how often we get our orders wrong."

In the back of the kitchen in the supply closet, Kibum turned his back against the door as Sungmin narrowed his eyes, the door shut closed behind him.

"Your jealously is-"

Kibum silenced him with an air-losing kiss. Kibum had to breathe once they parted. "You-" Kibum did so again, arms tightly around his waist.

"Will you stop that!"

"Never." Kibum announced. "You're too sweet to resist. Also to remind how good you have it."

Sungmin arched an eyebrow, pulling away from his loose embrace. "We are not on a date."

Kibum seemed to differ, his mood now gone. "He's clearly interested in you."

"You think every guy near me is interested in me. You're so paranoid."

"I am not. What about that guy who shows up every morning with things in your name?"

"That's the mailman, if he didn't bring those things, that's when I'd worry." Sungmin uttered, fuming he turned to open the door. When he realized it was locked, he turned to Kibum who kept a small smile in place.

"Won't you please open it?"

"Anything you ask." Kibum countered, earning a roll of the eye. He went to open it, the key wouldn't turn and as the door shook slightly at the now stuck key. Kibum pursed his lips. "Hmm, I lied. Seems I can't open it."

Sungmin closed his eyes shut.

"This isn't so bad," Kibum intertwined his arms around Sungmin's torso. "We can spend all our time here."

"Oh... the delight."

They spent what felt like hours in that small storage room. Sungmin exasperatedly looked out the door. "I thought this kitchen would require more supplies."

"We took it all out for the night."

"...We could be here all night?" He looked back as Kibum offered a suggestive smile. "If you dare, your record-keeping of dating will be stopped very shortly."

"But I have needs." Kibum whined. "None of which you satisfied for some time now."

"You have a hand, use it." Sungmin countered as he peered out the glass window of the door, Kibum gawked but chose to remain silent for the moment.

Sungmin grabbed a slim pin he managed to find in the supply closet and attempted to use it break out.

"Do you really want to meet with that guy so badly?" Kibum asked worriedly.

"It's for work." Sungmin explained as he concentrated on opening the lock. "Even if I didn't like someone, I'd have to do this anyway."

"Meaning you don't like him?" Kibum asked hopefully.

"I do like him, but I'm not interested in him." Sungmin emphasized. "Am I not entitled to friends?"

"You are... I guess..." Kibum muttered as the lock clicked to Sungmin's triumphant and Kibum's chagrin.

It was short-lived when they realized the restaurant had long been closed for the evening.

They sighed as they walked out of the closed restaurant. Kibum reached to hold him close but was kept at arm's length. Sungmin continued to apologize to Siwon over the phone and then closed it.

"Now I have to reschedule, thanks to you."

"You shouldn't have to go to dinner with your colleagues."

"Again. It's called building a relationship, that's how it works."

"It shouldn't work like that." Kibum said stubbornly. Once they returned home for the evening, Sungmin waited as Kibum took out the keys. The door shook as Kibum stood there, a long pause after, he didn't dare to turn around at the man fuming behind him.

"You brought the wrong keys?"

"You're usually home. Yours?"

"Tonight I thought you were going to be home, but you decided to take a shift and stalk me instead."

Kibum closed his open mouth at Sungmin's fierce glare. Sungmin bit his cheek and stared at his phone. "What are you doing?"

"Seeing if Siwon has space in his apartment."

"He's single! I bet he doesn't." Kibum tried to argue.

"There's always space on his bed then." He said scathingly as Kibum instantly swiped the phone from his hand, Sungmin soon after grab the same pin he used earlier and tried his hand and breaking into his apartment.

"You didn't take this long at the restaurant." Kibum commented lightly.

Sungmin paused, "You have two hands right?"

"Yes."

"Do you like having them?"

Kibum stepped backward, hands up. "Right, right."

It was safe to say Kibum slept on the couch that night.

-

The door opened, the poor mailman grimaced the moment he lifted his cap and met Kibum's studious stare.

"You." Kibum uttered, his tone low.

He was shoved aside as Sungmin went around him, "Thank you." He said politely with a particularly sweet smile.

The mailman smiled back when Kibum returned a menacing glare, one Sungmin slapped away with the mail in his hand.

The mailman uneasily turned from the bickering two, and hurried away as Kibum continued to stare him down until he was completely out of sight.

"I already told you-"

"I know, I know." Kibum assured, reaching to hold the still angry Sungmin. "But I can't afford losing you."

"You're not going to."

"And I'm simply making sure of that." Kibum added cheekily. Rather than the lips he wanted to kiss, he was blocked by the mail between them. But at least before work, Kibum got what he wanted.

He'd remind Sungmin how good he had it, and happily continued counting the days.
