Been too long

been way too long since I last updated. Just seems like nothing major has been going on, but today I figured, what the hell. Journals are all about the mundane nonsense we go through every day anyway right? Right.

I gave the early morning gym thing a shot today... you know.. get up really early and hit the gym before work. Save some time after work on the days I like to work out. Give you that little boost of energy in the morning to last you through the day because you got your blood pumping early... Workout + decent breakfast = great start to the day. Great idea right?

wrong.

That's not happening again. 6:00 am is WAY too early to be pushing heavy things off your chest. Maybe if work started at 9 instead of 8 and I was able to hit the gym at 7... I mean maybe if I didn't have to get up at 5:45 in the morning to pull it off I'd have a shot, but there's no way I can keep this up, esp in the winter. It's just not happening.

Also I've decided to try cooking at home more often. I really enjoy it and am pretty good if I do say so myself. I just get a little ambitious sometimes. The food usually comes out okay but it ends up costing more than I'd like or takes longer than I'd want. My latest attempt was some plum sauced oriental chicken ordeal. Turned out pretty good but stunk up the apartment something fierce. So here's my request to you, dear readers. Give me come recipes to try. I'm willing to try anytyhing but it'd be nice to have some 'quick meal' type stuff in my repertoire. I'm partial to ethnic food (probably why I have trouble finding ingrediants sometimes... ) but like I said, I'll try anything.

Heck, even if you don't know the recipe yourself but have food you really like, lemme know what it is. I promise I'll make it for myself and find out if I can make it any good before I punish... er... serve it to you ;)
