If the past three days were a waiter at a restaurant, and entrees were news, I would've had a crappy dining experience.
On Friday, I got a letter saying I did not get into the Elon College Fellows program I wanted. This is a kind of Honors program at Elon which had special seminars and study abroad options, and I was hoping to tap that. Sadly, there was no more room in the program, and so I had to move to the stables, just like Jesus' mom.
On Saturday, I found out I got waitlisted at UNC-Chapel Hill, which is a bummer, as I don't really expect to get in off of a waiting list.
All that college news was a drag, as my choices are severely limited now, to NC State and Elon. (For all intensive purposes, UNC-CH is a "no" unless something changes)
BUT there are some positives.
-Now that I have all the college data I needed to make my choice, I can finally make my choice about where to go.
-The fact that I didn't get in to the program at Elon means that I at least know Elon is definetely a competitive school; if I didn't get in then it must be pretty hard to get in. Heh, that sounded arrogant.
-I only have to choose between 2 colleges, instead of 3, which is an easier choice.
-I learned about Harshad numbers today and they're cool.
I mean, if you think about it I still have plenty of college opportunity so I should be happy! Rawr. And Friday night was the most fun I've had in a while. And it's spring break.
My pants make an entertaining noise.
