HA... why doesn't she tell her son that the Bible says do unto others as you would have them do unto you?? No doubt she's telling Alex that just so she doesn't have to take responsibility for the bad behaviour of her undisciplined son. I get the distinct impression she wants to be his buddy and not his parent, the way she overfeeds him and makes excuses for his bad behaviour instead of disciplining him in any way. That kid is going to grow up to be hell on wheels, *big* time.

And while it may be a good idea to accept people's apologies in general, if they keep apologising while treating you badly over and over, then the apologies clearly aren't sincere, and you don't and shouldn't have to put up with it. I'd certainly want Alex to get that lesson at least as strongly, given the crappy behaviour he's been exposed to over and over. By dealing forcefully with this crazy lady, hopefully he'll learn by your example. And yeah, no one who is that horrible at parenting should be telling your child *anything*, anymore than anyone who is that inconsiderate and self-centered should be purporting to be a good Christian.

Very glad to hear you're looking into how to deal with getting rid of her should things inevitably go pear-shaped, and that you're planning on booting her out one way or another. Some people are basically parasites, and the only way to rid yourself of them is by force.
