God that ending, the "You still have me" when put into context with the rest (not on msn *winks*) is just so powerful. You had every right to cry while writing that. This is most definitely one of my favorite BSG fics from you. The first being the one where Kara actually does pull the trigger (can't remember the name).

I seriously LOVE that Lee pulled out his gun, showed Kara that he was still there, still her partner in that respect. The covering of her stomach was so subconscious, a way of protecting herself against what Leoban had made her do despite him not being there. I only just now got that about those gestures! lol

I almost wanted to jump into my desktop, across that table and smack Laura myself. Isn't what she did, what she sacrificed enough for her? She gave up her soul for those tidbits of information.

I really do hope Lee can give her what she needs for once. He has such a hard time doing that on the show.

There are definitely tears in my eyes... It was beautiful and her anger absolute terror was so.. tangible. I love the fact that he put a gun to his head to get her to hesitate (i actually have a fic I'm working on where that happens--but in a different situation and a different conclusion--no not more angst). It shows just how much they really are a team.

I felt kinda bad for the President though because... she was just trying to make sure the girl didn't forget anything.. not trying to harass her or torture her, in my opinion at least >.
