I don't know how this stuff happens
I won tickets to an underground MCR show on Tuesday!
My Chemical Romance is having a show at the Roseland Ballroom on Sat to celebrate the new album and all, you know. It came out last weekend. And I've been on their email list since the last album so they shot me an email about the presales for this show and others. I wanted to go but wasn't sure because the tickets were about $50, so I called up firefox1490 to see what she thought about it. She was into it but wasn't sure about the money either, so we resolved to wait until she got home and could check her cash stash.
She did and had it so we were planning to buy the tickets on Black Friday...only to learn that they had sold out in 5 hours the day they went on sale to the public.
Um...wow?
So I'm scrounging the net trying to find some reasonably priced tickets but am only coming across scalpers, until I go to Craigslist. I see a couple people selling for an okay price so I email them, and then I come across this link to enter contest to win tickets to a show. Only, this wasn't the Dec 3rd show, this was for an underground, invite-only show in NY on Tuesday. I'm like, alright what the hell, and I enter, not expecting to win at all. Then, like an hour later, I get this email saying I had!
And I freak the fuck out. I'm in the car with my friend and I just go crazy. I call my mom, my best friend, firefox1490 in just pure disbelief and excitement. So we're going and for FREE. And it really is this underground sketch thing. The email gave me the address to the building and was like, it's a brick building...walk in and go to the right, or some suchness, along with a long list of things they are not responsible for us getting hit/hurt by.
Dangerous? Maybe. Sketch? Kinda. Going? Hell Yes!
