All I want for Christmas is a wii and Rock Band 2 Special Edition. That's not too much to ask.
Well, I figure I should go ahead and make a real post after three of just memes. As I've said before, I am finished with my first semester at Howard U. Now all I'm waiting on is my grades. Would be nice to know my GPA before I go back to school. Because, as nice as it is to not know if I didn't do well in my calculus class, I would still like to know how hard I have to work to keep my scholarship. And if I have to retake the class.
Anyway, not worrying about that anymore because it's vacation time! And I am enjoying it! I got home (all the way back to Louisiana from DC) last Friday, so I've had a week of hanging out and relaxing and catching up on sleep. Starting tomorrow, however, I work! And at 7 in the morning! Yay! -_- It's fine, though. I need the money and it's only for two weeks.
Okay, now to backtrack a bit. I don't know if any of ya'll heard, but there was one hell of an event this winter. Louisiana got snow!!! This. Never. Happens. Literally once every 20 years we'll get 2 inches of snow. But this year, everywhere it snowed was at least 5! And poor old me missed it. Being in DC, where it's supposed to snow but hasn't yet. Everyone text me gloating at like 8 AM. I did get some pretty pictures out of the deal, though, and I'll be the one gloating once it snows in DC. And once I go to the inauguration.
Which, yes, I am going to see Barack Obama sworn in as President!!! And I'm quite excited. My papa (grandpa) got both of us tickets to that and to the inauguration ball. So I have a reason to dress up all pretty like. Hee hee!
Sooooo I decided I'm going to try to start writing again. I wrote one poem, that I wish I had with me now so ya'll could read it, this year but I want to get back into writing stories. And better ones than I did before because it's been a long time since then. I figure Christmas break is the perfect time to do that, since I have no obligations for school or classwork. Brainstorming is assured!! And hopefully I'll at least have the beginnings of some idea before school takes in again (which is hella early, by the way (January 6th)).
