wake up 3....wake up 4
the first one came at oh--i believe rick said about 5:40? luckily i slept through that one. then the next one at 6:30. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A.M. then 7:00. then 7:33... FINALLY i was able to drag my butt out of bed and downstairs for the easter basket/easter egg hunt.
the wakeup at 6:30 scared me. i heard rick say something and i turned my head to see tristyn standing next to me with his face INCHES from my face. in my sleep fogged state i thought this (and this is exactly my thought, so excuse the language--i had only slept about 3 hrs at this point) 'brain not computing. who the fuck is that??!!' which was then followed by me jerking back a foot or so and bringing his little face into better view --but only for a brief second because then i buried mine in the pillow and said something like 'too early, go back to bed'. =(
the wakeup at 7:00 got nearly the same words, 'too early, go play' i think rick said something like maybe we should get up, and in true grump fashion i said something to the effect of 'every kid needs to have the memories of having to wait on a holiday morning at least a little bit to make sure they become a proper adult---going back to sleep...zzzzzzzzzzz'

when they came again i was able to wake up enough to feel awful for the previous wake up's sentiment and dragged myself up and out.
4 hours of sleep. approximately.

maia brushing polly's hair and deciding what polly will wear next
