Good News!
The director of my (still temporary) job came in to meet with me yesterday (in my office. Can you believe it? A temp with an office. And a window. And two chairs for visitors to sit in and a little ficus tree in a pot.)
She talked about wanting me to meet with her next week about a project she wanted me to take charge of for an open house event next month. Yay, next month!
And then she talked about sending out invitations for the fundraising event I'm helping them compile/update mailing lists for in March and said she wants me to be there for that as well.
So it looks like I have a job at least until March! Hooray! And they have my application on file, so we'll see what turns up. In the meantime though, I at least have bought some time to search for something more permanent in case this doesn't go through. It's so important to have an alternate plan, an exit strategy if you will; my faithful readers already know I think that way.
But the best part is, this means I can go to escapade_con! I may request that Monday off depending on how the workload looks by then because I'd love to go to the legendary Dead Dog party. I'll miss you, kassrachel, but OMG yay Escapade!!!
