I've been indulging in a minor flirtation bout with a man my age at the college library. It started when he would poke his head into the computer lab to mock me for playing Farmville. It's been pretty harmless and fun, but today he told me he thinks all the current politicians, from the President to our city officials, are crooked and should be impeached. Yeah, way to take the most simplistic and unrealistic approach to a complex issue. I tried to point out some alternatives, but anything I said was immediately shot down, which kind of pissed me off. The icing on the cake was when he told me I was being naive.
My dad tells me this whenever I dispute his brand of rightwing Republican politics & it totally pisses me off. Back up your opinion or agree to disagree, but once you start name calling, the discussion is over.
