My last SQL project was written in PHP using MySQL. 2 weeks of collaboration, frustration, and beer and it works! The dropdown box populates to the database, the checkbox is off or on, the registerID session key does whatever the hell it's suppose to do so you can check back and see what forms you've submitted, and all is right in my little web dev world.
I also turned in my Senior Project Proposal and sometime between now and the middle of December I've got to put in 160 hours of work comparing the pros and cons of automating a mock business with Microsoft versus Linux, write up a business plan, put together a Power Point Presentation, and create a web site for said mock business. Once finished, I get to present the whole shooting match to all the ISATI instructors, any low-level students they can coerce into attending, and the few friends I manage to drag in for moral support.
This summer holds an intensive 2 week communications class, a part-time internship with the Red Cross, my regular part-time computer lab job at the college, and a Microsoft Server 2008: Active Directory certification exam. Then 2 more semesters until graduation, at which point I will either look for a real life/job or go on to graduate school.
My life is good. Really, really good.
