The social calendar of the three and a half year old

Aug 17, 2010 14:15

Jocelyn's weekly schedule, beginning after Labor Day, looks like this:

Monday:
5:40p-6:30p Kindermusik with Ginger Bennett in Biloxi

Tuesday:
10:00a-12:00p Bear Cub Club at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center
12:15p-12:45p Lunch with Daddy at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport

Wednesday:
Thankfully, at this moment anyway, nothing scheduled, so that means being around the house and maybe sleeping in.

Thursday:
10:00a-12:00p Storytime at Margaret Sherry Library in Biloxi
5:30p-6:30p Ballet & Tap class at Nancy's School of Dance in D'Iberville

Friday:
Another free day, woohoo! (If we don't make it to Bear Cub Club on Tuesdays, though, we'll do it on Fridays, as that's the only other day that we could go and still do lunch with Ken afterwards.)

Saturday:
10:00a-11:00a Build and Grow at Lowe's, every other week. It's free, they get a free apron and are supposed to get goggles too, but we didn't get any last week. Also, upon completion of the project, they are given a patch to put on their aprons.

10:00a-12:00a Bear Cub Fitness Club at Lynn Meadows, but only on the weeks that we don't have Build and Grow. On these days, we'll try to get to the Farmer's Market in Long Beach, since it's pretty close to there.

Sunday:
Nothing scheduled. Sleep for me, hopefully.

My schedule? Um, I'm the chauffer. Jocelyn usually add a trip to the grocery store on Monday or Wednesday, and maybe a trip to Michael's or Home Depot. We take care of the house and we're trying to get the front yard looking nice. During the day, if Ken's at work, I'm pretty much 'Mommy', but that's the best job I could possibly have.

When Jocelyn spends the night with Mom and Dad, Ken and I have time to go see a movie and maybe go out to eat. If my parents keep her during the day sometimes, I have time to just have time to myself. It's rare, but when I do have a little 'me time', I really do appreciate it. The only thing that I would ever change would be to add a few more hours to the day. Anyone know how to do that?
