(no subject)
Too much has been going on for me to even try to keep up with typing it all. Still I should post more often. It's just that by the time I get to it, I'm tired and don't really feel like it. That's kinda the case tonight. I dunno. I'm just tired. And I still have some homework to do. Not much, but it still needs to be done. Maybe tomorrow I'll post with everything, or at least something.
I will say that I've got quite a collection of childrens' books at the moment. I'm going to do a booktalk on The Hobbit. I'm anxious for that now. I'm really gonna try to prepare it. I went and bought a copy tonight. (Yes, I already have one copy...) I just wanted a copy with the cover illustration by Tolkien himself, plus this copy also has a few illustrations throughout the book. I need to print off or borrow some other copies of the cover with information about each cover. One was done by a Caldecott Award winning artist. Others were done by Alan Lee, who was one of the main art guys for the LotR movies for that reason. (He's the one who pretty much designed Sauron's tower.) And then there are the illustrations by Tolkien, which I find as just awesome. And, of course there are a few others too. Seriously I've seen at least 7 different cover illustrations, although I think I've probably seen more. I'm excited for that talk now, but it's not until November. :( Cuz I don't want to do it for my Wednesday booktalk. I have a different book in mind for that. Plus I want to really prepare The Hobbit.
