End of School
I can't believe that it's here already, but as of Wednesday I will be finished with my first year of teaching. It's been great at CCS. My band and choir did okay at our final performances. I am already looking ahead and planning for the Holiday Program and of course marching for the first time. CCS hasn't marched in about a decade.
Oh yeah, I forgot that I haven't been on here in a long time. For anybody who doesn't know, I was hired last May at Central City as the band, choir, and general music teacher. I have been working to rebuild their band, which had not been very consistant since they switched it to a part time position about 10 years ago. Well anyway, it's been an interesting, crazy, difficult, and wonderful experience. It's a little different from what I thought I'd be doing, but I feel very fortunate to be able to do something I enjoy. Yes, it's a challenge and it's very time-consuming, but it's a lot of fun too.
Anyway, we're wrapping up and I still can't get over it.
