Take the quiz: "How emo are you?"

Holy Shit Your Emo
Holy shit you actually are emo! Congratulations on not being a poser.

Apparently I'm emo without even knowing it. It told me I answered 5 out of 6 questions as being emo. I never knew. But then, I listen to whatever I'm in the mood for, not whatever is popular at the time. I truthfully don't think labels apply to me very well because of how diverse my interests are. Celine Dion one sec, Evanescence another, next comes Maroon 5, followed by maybe a little Verve Pipe, then maybe some Metallica, and then a ballad in Japanese. I don't like to discriminate. Heck, country has even been growing on me lately. I'm beginning to think I'm just weird.

Anyway, in other news. I'm really enjoying my observation site and cooperating teacher. It's going great. Last Thursday, I had a little 2nd grader read to me a fairly difficult book (more like 4th or 5th grade reading level than 2nd). She pronounced the scientific names of animals better than a lot of adults would and she understood everything she was reading and told me some facts that she had learned previously about the Amazon River. It was amazing. I have done other things at the school too, like helped out with grading papers, typing up a play, and helping with math to name a few, but that was definately something that amazed me.

School is good. The girls in my apartment are pretty much addicted to The OC now and weirdly enough they've managed to drag me into it too. We've all decided that the acting isn't really that great, it's overdramatic, and the story isn't realistic much at all, but somehow we're still interested. For me, it's because one of the main characters is a geek. I mean it too. He's a comic book loving, anime watching, video game playing, magic-the-gathering playing, fast smartass talking humor, mumbling in public geek.
Anyway, it's given us all something to do together. I like hanging out with people for a change. It seems like back home all I do is tag along with Stu and his friends. Ya know, sometimes I'm included, sometimes I might as well be at home by myself playing Everquest. Anyway, I'm liking it at school.

Stu brought me roses today. It was really sweet. He took me out to eat at Dr. Jazz too. That was good. It was really great of him. He's also gonna give me another gift tomorrow (or whenever I see him next). Meanwhile, I gave him a Aqua Teen Hunger Force Tee and a thing of mints in a Family Guy tin that says "Freakin Sweet" on it. I think he liked his gift. I'm hoping so anyway.

Well I still have more homework to do, but I wanted to post since I haven't posted too much of what's been going on in my life lately. Who knows, maybe I'll even start posting on a regular basis.
