COLD!!!
Holy crap it is cold here! 3 degrees F* With the wind, it feels like -10 F* There is an upcoming snowstorm as well, supposedly starting about 10 pm EST and lasting all night. Light, fluffy snow, not the heavy stuff since it is too FREAKING COLD, there is no moisture in the air. I bought a snow shovel today. I have not bought one in over ten years. I also bought bird seed and bird suet, so the birds will have food during the storm. When I went to buy the seed at my local store, it was very busy and a lot of people and kids were there. I didn't realize that it was the annual visit of Santa Claus! They were doing photos and cookies and punch. Very nice for all the local kids.
So, I came back home, loaded up the feeders, hung them all up. Fed the neighbor horse a couple of carrots, chased the dogs around the yard. It is so cold, we don't want to be outside for very long.
Went to the grocery store today. It was nuts! Its a very small store, but it is always busy on the weekends due to its proximity to Canada. Anyway, I got what I needed to make pot roast tomorrow! YUM! I never liked pot roast as a kid, since it was usually something my grandmother cooked and it was really bad. Mine, on the other hand is AWESOME!!
I also bought some antler headbands to put on the dogs for Christmas pictures. Hee! They will hate it, but too bad. Can't wait to take those pictures and post them. Kind of like parents posting ugly pics of their kids at the holidays.
Time to turn up the heat and find something to watch on TV. OH! White Christmas is on AMC. I love the dance with Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen.
