Hakuouki Ep2 - 動乱の火蓋
"douran no hifuta" or otherwise loosely translated as "the spark of commotion" lulz.

The following is filled with lol!personal opinion, so please leave if you don't like it. Oh yeah, spoilers too 8D.
Okay, so the lol!story follows from last week's when they heard about Hijikata reporting that a strand of his beautiful hair fell from his headI MEAN, HE AND SANNAN GOT ATTACKED AND SANNAN WAS INJURED 8D. So anyway, blahblahblah, since everyone and their mom are having dinner at the time, Sannan just told everyone that he's tired and he's going to rest in his room, so he'll skip dinner.
Sannan: I wanna skip dinner because none of you can cook...and why are we having fish and miso soup all the time, WHY?
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!?!?!
Ahem, so anyway, they move forward the Sannan and ochimizu bit very early on in the anime lol. Does that mean they'll have Sannan getting his ass kicked sooner than it is? LOLOLOL.
So right after the lol!opening, Hijikata got anal and bossy and asked everyone and their mom why Chizuru is having lunch with the gang together. Then for some unknown lol!reason (I bet you it's because Chizuru is the...*gasp*heroine*gasp* that she got this special treatment), everyone and their mom helped Chizuru and say that they're the one who asked her to be there. Blahblahblah, without avail, Hijikata just sighed and let lyfe take its own course hahaha.
Then one day, Chizuru decided that she should totally dabble in the matters of the Shinsengumi, so she tried to be awfully helpful and she made Sannan some lol!onigiri (cause she heard that Sannan hasn't been eating well the last couple of days or whatever). So when she got to his room with the food, Sannan got all pissy and sarcastic.
Sannan: ......
Sannan: I can feel that there's rat poison in there......
Sannan: I must think of a way to stop her from killing us one by one D:
He's like "IS THIS PITY?" and "OH SO UR HERE BECAUSE YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO MAKE YOURSELF FIT IN, EH?" And I was liek, "LULZ ZUIBUN HIDOI KOTO WO IITTANE KUFUFU". Chizuru went like D: and she left lol. To be honest, that part was really awesome, so definitely check it out when the subs are out. Then fast forward a bit, Chizuru and the gang are eating breakfast together, then Sannan came into the room and said he'll eat with everyone and their mom lol. So after that, Chizuru felt rly glad blahblahblah.
So some time after that event, Chizuru is washing the clothings while lol!Saitou practices his swings and Okita watches. Like all shoujo anime, the heroine has to "watch" from afar, and then the guy being watched will be so totally kewl and go "HAY U WHAT U LOOKING AT?" Then the heroine will fess up bashfully and---WELL YOU GET THE PICTURE. Basically what Chizuru wanted all along is to go out with the Shinsengumi and look for her father. Since, y'know, the world is a horrible place gentle Saitou (hey it rhymes 8D) has to make sure Chizuru could fend for herself 8D. He offered himself to be the one who tests Chizuru's sword wielding skillz. Then you know, as any classic shoujo plot device would be, the heroine has to say something along the lines of, "OH NOES, PLZ ME NO WANT TO HURT YOU D:", and then the guy will reply with "DONT WORRY, JUST USE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLADE". So yeah, that's pretty much what happened 8D.
Okita, breaking the 4th wall and laughing at the typical shoujo plot device.
Okay, so you know, we are invited to this famous scene where Saitou has his blade against Chizuru. Before I show you guys......just you know, be advised that everything is transient in this world 8D. Yes, transient.
Whoops, sorry, that was from the game 8D.
Yeah, the reality is cruel.
Very cruel.
Blah blah blah, so she passed the test anyway, cause y'know, they've gotta let her go with them so the plot could move along, otherwise it's gonna get stuck in infinite loop and the story of Hakuouki will never end 8D.
After that, Chizuru went around the town to ask about her father's whereabouts when finally, someone said they saw a guy who resembles the features which Chizuru described. Then fast forward again, she got to the building, then some other gaiz who are against the Shinsengumi were like "OMG BBQ U R WITH THE SHINSENGUMI GAIZ!!!" so they started swinging their blades at her. Then as all good heroine must do, she fell, and Okita saved her ass (lol no pun intended).
So anyway, because I already lost interest (COME ON IT'S SO BORING, WHERE'S THE OTOME LOVE ACTION, WHERE'S THE GOOD ART D:), blahblahblah, the anime progressed to the (in)famous events of Ikedaya lol. Then this week's episode ends with Sannan sensing something is wrong at Ikedaya, and so he sent Chizuru and Yamasaki to alert everyone and their mom. On their way, they met some opponents of Shinsengumi so Yamasaki told Chizuru to move on and lol. ZE ENDO.
To be honest, this episode is really boring...actually the first two episodes are really boring, I hope it'll pick up the pace lol.
YEEEES, next episode has Kazama, yeeeeees. Speaking of which, the subtitle for next week's episode is 宵闇に咲く花 (yoiyami ni saku hana), something like "the flower that blooms in the twilight". OH KAZAMA, PLEASE LOOK GOOD. DON'T MAKE ME DISAPPOINTED LOLOL. Anyway, it's so cool to hear Kazama saying, "I'll kill you as well if you got in my way." But srsly Tsuda, you're using your Inui voice hahahaha, it's hard not to laugh and think that Inui is in the anime HAHAHAHAHA.
