Someone on a Japanese message board wrote that Jun said at some point that one of his future goals for Arashi was to finally have many songs that surpassed A-RA-SHI, because he felt they sometimes relied on A-RA-SHI as a crutch during concerts, and he wanted to reach the point that it wasn't needed anymore ( Read more... )

I'm hoping for the exact same thing, since I'm planning on going the final night!

I can't wait for the point when they finally give in. Though I think Jun was enjoying last night a little bit too much, 55,000+ people begging him to give in probably appeals to his DoS side way too much. *g* But when they do finally sing it, it will definitely be epic.

I don't think it's anything like them wanting to leave it behind, the whole tour is filled with these kinds of attitudes: it's like they're trying to push themselves to reach the audience without relying on any their standard techniques. No debut song, no signboards, even the moving stage this round was used sparingly. The album itself sounds different, the solos this time were different from what we've come to expect from them ( ... )
