So I think it's safe to say no one here is a stranger to MySpace. Along with having a MySpace account and page comes the ability of any and every person from your past to come beating on your door. It's one of those things that comes with the territory. They should have a user end agreement that states that you agree with all the terms and conditions of your past and all the possible fallout that may arise from making yourself available through our services.
With that said we'll get to the core of this post.
One of my best friends from back in the day just recently found me.
I can't say there wasn't an element of apprehension in the reconnection. You know how best friends go, you love em, you hate em, one minute all is well, the next all hell breaks loose. This friendship was no different. Many years had past and a fair amount of trash was talked from both camps (WTF, am I on MTV?) Mainly, we didn't like the path each other had chosen in life and made no bones about our difference of views. So, I wasn't really sure how it was going to go, either the robot chickens were coming home to roost or we were going to pick up like nothing had ever happened or been said.
As it turned, we both opted to take the high road, (as opposed to the road high which is what we would have done in the past)and just be grateful that we were back in each other's lives. So a couple hours later and a whole lot of catch up, we were back up to speed.
I can't help but think that a part of me has returned, that through that conversation it helped me to remember and understand who I was verses who I am now and to incorporate the good elements of who I was into who I am. If you can follow that one.
So for the element of timelessness, (and for Maryjo, who is, I believe, the only one who reads this that will actually know who this is) I state this...
Welcome back Dan Charron, welcome back.
