"The worst is not / So long as we can say, 'This is the worst.' King Lear, IV, i

Well, it appears the trouble that I borrowed yesterday appeared a great many doorsteps today.

I know some of you were pleased that I planned to get hearing aids, and I was too, but, as I explained in the deleted part of yesterday's entry, it didn't work out.  On Aug.4 I was awakened very early in the morning by a paralyzing migraine, so I called to put oft the appointment.  All I wanted to do was go back to bed and die.

Then Friday, when I still had the plaguey thing, the market decided to dive.

I got very low about my situation over the weekend, which was spoiled and selfish of me.  Now that the Dow lacks less than 200 points equaling its drop in 2007, a lot of things seem more important than hearing aids.  Keeping body and soul from separating comes near the top of the list, as Shakespeare's Edgar points out.

Anyway, I didn't get them.  I thought I should clear that up.

I dread/can't wait to see the WC summer finale tomorrow night.  If I have my toofs out at 2:30, will I have sense enough to know what happens on the show at 8:00?  Surely.  I may not much care at the time, but later I will.  The knock-out stuff they gave me a couple of weeks ago left me nauseous, so I think for this I'll just get the regular localized  anesthetic, maybe with some nitrous oxide to help keep my blood pressure from breaking orbit.

I had fun reading tj_teejay's plot outline for the remainder of WC 3 and proposing some of my own.  It would be fun to read these from whoever wanted to contribute, either serious guesses or silly stuff.  I wonder what vehicle would be best for that.
