Oh dear....so right off the top of my head here...LOL
"You know, you still have your own place," Kate replies as she starts to change out of her everyday clothes. She pulls out what looks to be an unsexy flannel pyjama set, although Castle suspects that nothing ever looks unsexy on Kate Beckett.
"Are you trying to kick me out?" he realizes aloud.
She gives him a 'you caught me' expression. "It's not that I don't like you here it's just..."
"Just what?"
"I haven't had a full night's sleep in a week. Not that I'm not enjoying the sleepovers, but I'm really, really exhausted."
Castle grins. "I do have quite a bit of stamina." His response is a pillow thrown at his head which he catches with his face. He pulls it into his lap. "It's too quiet at my place. Alexis isn't there as often anymore and my mother has...something. I try not to ask too many questions."
"You could get a dog."
"I'd rather just stay here."
She's undressed now and she's folded her arms over her very nicely shaped bosom. "Well you can't. I have to be up early and there is not enough coffee in this world to help me get through work tomorrow if I don't get a decent night's sleep tonight."
He pretends to look hurt, but his puppy-dog eyes only serve to make her roll her own. Defeated, he stands up.
"Fine. I'm going, but on one condition." He edges towards the door. "You have to come help me pick one out."
"Deal, now go," Kate insists, waving her hand out her door. Castle walks out and then turns around on his heels and walks right back in. "Castle!"
"I'm going, I swear! I just wanted to know if you think I should talk to Alexis first. I mean, having a dog together, that's a pretty big-"
He doesn't get to finish his sentence as a second pillow comes flying at him.
