Whore of the Industry
I finally officially got the job I interviewed for 4 months ago.
I should be excited, but I am not. Not even remotely. Let me explain..
Aside from the increase in pay I would recieve working for them, I would still be stuck in a similar situation to what I am in now.
For the past 3 years I have worked as an HR contractor for the federal government. I have been with 2 employers in these 3 years, and its about to be 3. The work is soul-sucking and mostly thankless. Feds HATE contractors like the KKK hates blacky.
These ingredients make for a shit stew with a stench worth writing home about (or bitching about in my blog). And i forgot..my commute probably will be the new wave in modern torture... I should be on the cover of the CIA Weekly.
My new job is to do essentially the same thing i am doing now: be an HR whore to the government replete with smeared lipstick and anal fissures.
I only pull out my magical bag of literary imagry for special occasions.
Now who wants some HR lovin?
