So, it's that time of year again, so the reason for travelling is haunted houses.
If you're anywhere within an 8 hour radius of Kansas City, Mo - and you like road-trips and haunted houses - you may want to consider taking a trip to see these:
http://www.edgeofhell.com/http://www.kcbeast.com/http://www.macabrecinema.com/http://www.chambersofpoe.com/ (can't actually vouch for this, as macabre cinema took much longer than expected - twice as long as the website said!)
Macabre Cinema was the best, and possibly the best i have seen - 4 floors committed solely to movie reactions, they do it well, unlike the half-arsed stick-a-freddy-in-a-random-room bullshit that every other place does.
Off the top of my head, i think there is only 1 person on my f-list who would be close enough - but I don't know where a lot of people live anyway.
A quad ticket will set you back $50.
You may only be able to buy it from the last two, the first two didn't advertise the ticket on their price list.
You'll want to get there early. At least an hour and a half at each place - they close at 1am
Once you have the tickets, you can skip to the VIP line, which is often as long as the regular line, but moves a little faster.
I believe there is tax on half of that, not too sure, didn't find out there was such a thing as a quad ticket until we got to the first of the second set of houses, so that was $20 that could have been saved.
Two of them are non-profit, so tax free, and the other place doesn't want to appear more expensive so it lists the before-tax price - so I don't feel bad at all giving them 71 one dollar notes.
So far, I've been to like 15 different haunted houses, and this is the first that didn't include tax in the advertised cost. I know it's the standard in america, but i thought ticket prices were a exception to the rule?
To summarise, I can post about non-bots, and i have been leaving the house.
and I can't seem to go anywhere without being pulled over by the police - mostly regarding the short in the light over the number-plate.
Unfortunately, that 8 hour radius will have to be expanded next year. I don't know how that is going to work, since 8 hours is already a taxing drive.
Speaking of road trips - holy shit, gas prices are still dropping, the economy should collapse more often! I really don't understand how the current US economic crisis translates to lower gas prices, but gift horses, y'know?
And because there has been 0 content in this post that my Australian friends will be interested in:
http://www.x-rates.com/d/AUD/USD/graph120.htmlWoah. Seriously.
Australian dollar worth US$1.50? Thankyou USA!
Fuck, I was reading it upside down. The AUD is worth shit in US again.
Never try to read a graph on only 2 hours sleep
Wow, that graph is fucking depressing the right way around. *buries credit card in the back yard*
Do you know what October 12th is?
