I GOT THE LEAD I GOT THE LEAD I GOT THE LEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so stoked, I had the longest night of auditions in my life, it started at 6 and we were there until like 12:30 but it was totally worth it! I am stoked. ok now to catch up in the updating
last weekend my last production "fixing christmas" a collective about the joys and follies of christmas opened to a standing ovation which was fantastic but then it was selling so well that we had to tack on an extra performance so that we did three yes 3 shows on one saterday it was crazy intense! but it was really good and I stretched in ways that I didn't even realize and then before I even had time to breath I was auditioning for broken sleep and taming of the shrew (yes to audtions at once, thus the long night, call backs were also that night it was crazy intense) and by the next day at noon I found out that I got Kate the lead in Broken Sleep which is a which is a dynamite play that follows the day of an inner city doctor (Kate) and her patients, it is a compilation of 6 two person scenes and it is so gutteral I love it it is a dark comedy which I am really excited about, however i have to be fully memorized by the time we ahve our first rehearsal Jan 9th and then we open on Feb 7th that is less then a month it is crazy intense plus I think that I am going to direct a show for the theatre one act in the spring and then PT (pacific theatre) is doing a co production with our school which I am not sure if I am going to audition for yet but that would be really cool because that theatre is connected with equity and the show might count for one credit towards equity which would be soooo freakin amazing!
I am home in calgary for christmas on the 14 and I am there until the 22 when I go to sicamous and I would love to see as many people as possible, I miss all the fort mac people, and I hope you are well and have a good christmas if I don't get to see you
