Poem: Completely exhausted by you
Written by: Julie Rose Lasduce (me)

Don't say a thing, not to me
I've held it back, so I can be freed
I'm not running away or hiding a secret truth
I'm not forcing you to take notice or to see what I'm up to
I'm slipping-
Sliding, soaring, sending away the dreams I once had.
For the sake of silence of a beated out heart
Who saw it's last rhythm and decided to depart
I wonder what you made of me?
When knowing me at all?
Did you think I saw sunshine?
Did you think I saw warmth?
A talent so blind that only love, was what I saw.
I didn't expect the world. Neither did I expected heaven.
Ludicrous were those ideas when it came to you and me...
A happy ending, definately, something we did not see.
I'll admit I kept it long. Faithful to what could have been.
But foolish in my decisions is what we've always known.
No point in hiding it.
No point in denying it.
If any womanly virtue I kept constant in my mind
was loyalty- a hope for faith, in your human kind.
But tired I've become-
And satisfied that I tried.
But completely exhausted by you
It's my time to kiss you goodbye.
